Hope to the Stars: Five Passages Through the Void is a new science fiction play collaboratively written by playwrights Elizabeth Salazar, Erin Lerch, Michael Lin, Kevin Mullins, and Sari Boren, with showrunner Jake Scaltreto. Embarking across light-years of space to a distant star system, the passengers aboard the generation ship Nemus Dianae are fated to live and die along the voyage so that their descendents can be the first to set foot on an alien world. Five playwrights lend their unique voices to five eras spanning two millennia, and chart the centuries-long evolution of human culture, language, and belief as the crew journeys further from an Earth they can only imagine.

Admission to this first public reading is FREE of charge. We are eager to hear your thoughts on this new work, so please join us afterwards for a "Drink Back" – an informal post-show gathering at Locke Bar – where you can mingle with playwrights, actors, and other Earthlings.

Hope to the Stars: Five Passages Through the Void is slated for a full production in winter 2026/27. Attendees who RSVP to this reading will receive early access to tickets for the world premiere production before they go on sale to the general public.
