Bridgette Hayes

Bridgette Hayes is Boston-based actor, designer, playwright, and dramaturg. She was bitten by the acting bug at the wee age of eight and has been active in theatre ever since. Bridgette holds a BFA in Acting from Boston University’s College of Fine Arts, a Certificate of Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts, and is finishing a Masters in Dramatic Arts at Harvard University. She recently joined Bridge Repertory Theater as an Artistic Associate, having worked with them last season in their production of Julius Caesar at the Boston Center for the Arts. She has worked with several Boston theatre companies including Bad Habit Productions, Fresh Ink, Wax Wings Productions, The Longwood Players, Suffolk University Theatre, MIT Gilbert & Sullivan Players, Vaquero Playground, Boston Playwrights Theatre, and Next Door Theatre Company. In the fall, she will be acting in Flat Earth's production of Radium Girls and The Hub Theatre Company's production of The Love of the Nightingale. She is currently designing props for Bad Habit's The Goat, or Who is Sylvia and will be dramaturging Bridge Rep's productions of Salome and The Launch Party. Bridgette is particularly committed to doing theatre that sparks discussion and progressive change. Her dream is to someday purchase a space in Boston that offers affordable rehearsal space and shared resources for Boston fringe theatre companies. www.thebridgettehayes.com
